Wascomat Encore/Crossover Dryer

This installation covers Wascomat Encore/Crossover Dryer. The reader for these dryers use a basic pulse interface to add dry time when the card is presented. The connection to the Encore dryer is a little different from the Encore washer.

Parts

  • Reader
  • Backplate
  • Cable harness
  • 12V power supply (for Encore dryer)

Installation

  1. Before proceeding, you should assign numbers to each of the machines in the laundry room/building. It is highly recommended that you place number labels on each washer and dryer machine.

  2. Set the machine type and number using the DIP switch on the MCU circuit board:
See DIP switch settings page to understand how to configure DIP switch positions to set the machine type (washer or dryer) and number. Note that MCUs may already come from Mitech configured with the appropriate DIP switch settings. Proceed with installing the MCU on the corresponding machine type and number.

  3. Turn machine power OFF!

  4. Remove the coin drop if present

  5. For ENCORE WASHER: Connect the cable harness between the reader and the 3-wire connector

  6. For ENCORE DRYER: Splice the white/green wires to the wires on this connector:
For the Encore dryer reader, you'll need to provide power using the provided 12V power supply
  7. Proceed to secure the reader to the machine using the nuts

Pricing

Set the pricing on the reader using the LaundroPortal. Only a single price is supported. Whenever the card is presented, the reader will deduct this amount and send a pulse to the machine.
