This installation covers LG Washers and Dryers with a serial communication interface. Card-ready and coin-prep models are supported.

1. Using the machine programming menu, set the cycle prices (see LG user manual)
2. Using the machine programming menu, set the machine to “Card” mode and the “Pay” mode (see LG user manual)
3. Before proceeding, you should assign numbers to each of the machines in the laundry room/building. It is highly recommended that you place number labels on each washer and dryer machine.
   
   
4. Set the machine type and number using the DIP switch on the MCU circuit board:
   See DIP switch settings page to understand how to configure DIP switch positions to set the machine type (washer or dryer) and number. Note that MCUs may already come from Mitech configured with the appropriate DIP switch settings. Proceed with installing the MCU on the corresponding machine type and number.
   
   
5. Turn machine power OFF!
   
   
6. Remove the coin drop if present
   
   
7. The reader mounts over the card slot. If there are no holes above and below the card slot, use the provided drilling template to drill four holes
   
   
   
8. Open the service compartment to access to machine's control board and wire harnesses
   
   
9. Feed the provided 5-wire cable harness through the card slot
   
   
10. Connect the provided 5-wire cable harness between the card reader and the machine's black connector, as shown below:
    
    
    
11. Proceed to secure the reader to the machine using the nuts
    
    

This is set on the machine and not through the card system
