Dexter Dryer (DCD type)

This installation note covers older dexter dryers (DCD type) for upgrades from the EasyCard system.

Parts

  1. MCU (Reader)

    This reader has 4 studs, and requires 4 corresponding holes to be drilled in the machine

  2. 4-wire Cable harness

3. Power supply

Installation

  1. Before proceeding, you should assign numbers to each of the machines in the laundry room/building. It is highly recommended that you place number labels on each washer and dryer machine.
  2. Set the machine type and number using the DIP switch on the MCU circuit board:
    See DIP switch settings page to understand how to configure DIP switch positions to set the machine type (washer or dryer) and number. Note that MCUs may already come from Mitech configured with the appropriate DIP switch settings. Proceed with installing the MCU on the corresponding machine type and number.
  3. Turn machine power OFF!
  4. Open service door
  5. Remove the EasyCard Card reader, but note the two grey wires going into to.
  6. Splice the Green/White wires from the cable harness into the two grey wires used by the EasyCard system, as indicated here

Power Supply Installation

  1. Splice the two red wires from the cable harness into the provided power supply
  2. Connect the AC side of the power supply to the terminal block in the machine to get 120VAC power (there should be a couple of open terminals).

Securing the Reader

The reader mounts over the card slot. You must drill holes to secure the reader using the 4 studs.
