Continental-Girbau Washers (Coin)

This installation note is for Continental-Girbau washers without a serial daughter board (typically on washers manufactured before 2015). The reader operates in pulse mode, emulating a coin-drop.

Parts

  • Reader

  • Cable harness

Installation

  1. Set the machine type and number using the DIP switch found on the reader circuit board:
See DIP switch settings page to understand how to configure DIP switch positions to set the machine type (washer or dryer) and number.
  2. Turn machine power OFF!

  3. Remove the coin drop if present

  4. Connect the 4-wire connector to the coin-drop header:
  5. Secure the reader to through the slots intended for the coin-drop.
  6. Power ON the machine and present the Activation card to activate the reader.

Vend Pricing

Use the LaundroPortal to set pricing. If using multi-vend pricing, ensure that the Minimum and Maximum settings correspond exactly to the absolute minimum and absolute maximum price vend cycle price that could be attained on the machine (including profit-plus options). If using using a single price for all cycles, it's recommended to set the vend price to 25cents on the machine. This way the reader simply provides a single pulse to the machine to start it (but deducts the full cycle cost from the card)
