IPSO

This installation covers IPSO with Micro 20 board. The reader uses an external AC/DC power supply. This means you need to provide an AC source/outlet at the back of the machine.

Parts

Installation

  1. Before proceeding, you should assign numbers to each of the machines in the laundry room/building. It is highly recommended that you place labels on each machine.

  2. Set the machine type and number using the DIP switch on the MCU circuit board:
See DIP switch settings page to understand how to configure DIP switch positions to set the machine type (washer or dryer) and number. Note that MCUs may already come from Mitech configured with the appropriate DIP switch settings. Proceed with installing the MCU on the corresponding machine type and number.

  3. Turn machine power OFF!

  4. Remove the coin drop if present

Connecting to control

There are two variants of the IPSO control boards.

For boards that have spade/quick connect connectors….
Connect the 3 or 4 quick-connect wires to the machine's control board.
Black/Green:COMMON, Yellow: DOOR, White: COIN1. There might already be wires occupying the quick connect lugs, in which case you will need to splice these wires.

For boards that have the green connector blocks along the edge….
BE VERY CAREFUL to connect to the EXACT connectors as shown in the photo (because some other connectors carry high voltage and will destroy the reader)

Connecting Power

  1. Connect the AC-side of provided AC/DC power adapter to AC voltage (in most cases you will need to cut off the prong and connect to the power terminal block inside the machine)
  2. Connect the DC jack to the connector on the cable harness provided AC/DC power supply

Securing the reader

Secure the reader to the machine using the four nuts
