Parts

The following parts are required to fully install the MCU:

Installation procedure

  1. Before proceeding, you should assign numbers to each of the machines in the laundry room/building. It is highly recommended that you place number labels on each washer and dryer machine.
  2. Set the machine type and number using the DIP switch on the MCU circuit board:
See DIP switch settings page to understand how to configure DIP switch positions to set the machine type (washer or dryer) and number. Note that MCUs may already come from Mitech configured with the appropriate numbers. Proceed with installing the MCU on the corresponding machine type and number.
  3. Turn machine power Off!
  4. Open the machine service door compartment, as shown below, and note the controller board inside:

  5. Disconnect the two “Quick Connect” wires from the switch, as shown below:

  6. Unscrew the two screws (shown below) that secure the controller board to the machine bracket and lift out the board.

  7. Disconnect the white connector, shown in red circle below, from the board:

  8. In its place, connect the white connector (with the 4 wires in it) from the MCU cable.

  9. Connect the machine connector you disconnected two steps ago into the MCU cable assembly's other white connector, as shown below.

  10. Connect the “Busy signal” connector to the board, as shown below

  11. Connect the Quick Connect wires from the cable assembly to the Quick Connect wires you disconnected from the switch earlier

  12. Connect the remaining connector the MCU.
    .
Note: You may need to cut-off the two small pegs on the connector, if they exist:

  13. Secure the MCU to the machine using the mounting bolt

See the Card System Activation section to proceed activation. You may need to activate the MCUs with the Activation card and set prices using the Price card.
